The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “While the World countries think on how to enact a single investment environment reform, we have enacted 100 reforms all with the decisive steps of our government.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the introductory meeting of the
Coordination Council for Improvement of Investment (YOIKK) held at Beştepe
Millet Culture and Convention Center, began his speech by praying for the grace
of Allah upon our martyred soldiers during Operation Olive Branch in Afrin,
wishing the wounded quick recovery.
Stating that without investment, there can be no wealth, employment,
business or food, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We all want Turkey to reach its target;
to attract more investments and to be richer. We all know that together, we're stronger;
we can move Turkey forward.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that all the ministers have made great efforts to
reform the investment climate and said, “We are all very proud of the Turkish
private sector. We are solving many
problems that cause trouble for our companies, our SMEs with these reforms.
While the World countries think on how to enact a single investment environment
reform, we have enacted 100 reforms all with the decisive steps of our
government.”
Indicating that they have been witnessing the leap forward of the
Turkish private sector under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
during the governments of AK Party, Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that Prime Minister
Binali Yıldırım also supported the private sector during his ministry and prime
ministerial period.
- “Turkey will be among the world's largest 10 economies”
Underlining that the business world trusts Prime Minister Yıldırım more
with the support and the reforms they’ve provided, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We
know well that our country will overcome any problem and reach the place she
deserves which means, Turkey will be among the top 10 economies in the world
when we join hands.”
Calling for the foreign investors to invest in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu
said that it is a very important chance for the Turkish business world to work
with Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım.
Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that, “Our Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Recep Akdağ
has dedicated himself to this reforms package, and the Secretariat of the
Ministry of Economy and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy have
enacted crucial reforms, but there are important steps being taken not only in
YOİKK platform, but also in many areas of our economy. I would like to express
my gratitude to the Honorable President of the Republic of Turkey and to the
Honorable Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and to the government in the
name of Turkish private sector performing the reforms in many fields especially
the VAT, the mobile pledge, the R&D and patents.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they have adopted the view that most
beneficent of people are those who are beneficial unto others and added that
the government will continue to work on behalf of the Turkish private sector in
every task.
- Prime Minister Yıldırım
Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said that until the end of this year, all
work between the citizens and the state would be done via e-government, “You
can do your business without having to deal with bureaucracy. Which means,
bureaucracy is becoming just a button.”
Expressing his hope that the Investment Coordination Board's reforms
covering the years 2017-2018 would be beneficial, Yıldırım said that he would
like to thank the Ministry of Economy and the Deputy Prime Minister Recep
Akdağ, to the representatives of the private sector, to TOBB, to the
non-governmental organizations and all institutions which contributed.
Yıldırım emphasized that it is not grace but duty to provide all kinds
of facilities for entrepreneurs, companies and investors.
