TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with the Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci, attended the Polatlı Commodity Exchange Harvest Festival. Hisarcıklıoğlu, celebrating Harvest Festival, extended his well-wishes.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are proud of the Polatlı Commodity, which has undertaken
exemplary works,” extolling the modernization efforts of the Exchange in
regards to its facilities and infrastructure, “I sincerely congratulate the
Chairman, board and employees.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the Polatlı Commodity Exchange is a 5-star
accredited commodity exchange, offering the highest quality service to its members
with its sales hall, laboratory, scale and social facilities.
- New software in commodity exchanges
Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed stated that TOBB is working to facilitate
better operation and quality service by commodity exchanges, “We are preparing
a new registration software for Commodity Exchanges. It will be provided free
of charge to all commodity exchanges. Thanks to this program, our member will
be able to perform all necessary operations for registering goods on a single
platform. When it comes to registrations, checking tax and SGK debts will be sorted
with one button. Even taxes can be deducted via this platform. Our members will
be able to register their purchases and sales using the mobile application via
electronic signature without coming to the commodity exchange. e-bills and e-producers
will be automatically registered. All products entering the commodity exchange,
laboratory data, trade values will be generated simultaneously. This way, you
will operate comfortably and confidently.
Also with this system, all transactions will be added to national statistics.
Therefore, all statistical information will guide our country's agriculture
will be produced in commodity exchanges markets. The Product Specialized Commodity
Exchange which has been our dream for years has finally been realized. We
completed the foundation with 53 commodity exchanges and TMO. The Polatlı
Commodity Exchange is also among the largest partners. From now on, Licensed
Warehouse Stocks will be traded at this exchange. With this system, the
producer's, the merchant's produce, will find its buyer directly in the
national and international market. Thus, our commodity exchanged will be
integrated into the global markets. This is all thanks to the Minister Bülent
Tüfenkci.

Customs and Commerce Minister Bülent Tüfenkci stated that the national licensed
warehousing system capacity has reached 2.048 million tons and that the storage
capacity is foreseen to exceed 10 million tons if licenses are given to all of
the 129 companies which have received permits.
Tüfenkci said that the prices of agricultural products are based on the
supply and demand conditions in commodity exchanges.
Tüfenkci pointed out that production and marketing are inseparable,
adding that production, storage and price formation in agriculture cannot be
considered separately either.
Recalling that the first step of the licensed warehousing system was
laid in Polatlı with 20,000 tons in 2011, Tüfenkci reported that e-receipts of
goods stored in licensed warehouses are being traded on the commodity exchange.

Polatlı Commodity Exchange President Yahya Toplu stated that it is very
troublesome to farm in Anatolia and talked about the activities of the commodity
exchange as well as incentives given by the state to domestic producers.
MHP Deputy Chairman Mevlüt Karakaya also participated in the event.
