Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that they support the Challenge Program inflation announced by the Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak, “We will adopt the fight against inflation with our chambers and exchanges in 81 provinces and 160 provinces.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu’s statement is as follows:
“Turkey has once again launched a full-scale economic fight, together
with the people and the government.
We support the Inflation Program launched by the Treasury and the
Ministry of Finance under the leadership of our Minister Mr. Berat Albayrak, and
find it important for macroeconomic stability.
Rising inflation increases our input and financing costs and adversely
affects our companies. Neither the public nor the private sector can win the
fight against inflation alone. Responsibility and duty falls to us all.
The fight against inflation is also a struggle against unemployment,
high interest rates and increasing input costs.
Turkish private sector will stand with the government and do its part.
Within this framework, TOBB and Chambers-Exchanges are in solidarity as
with every national issue.
Together with our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in 81 provinces and
160 districts, we will adopt the fight against inflation and will work for the
broadest participation of our companies.
We are also grateful to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the plan to
accelerate the accumulated VAT refund processes which we have been demanding
for a long time.
We believe that with strong coordination and consultation between the
public and the private sectors, we will overcome this challenging process and
we will enter the brisk and stable growth period again.”
