29.11.2018 Ankara
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu participated in the council meeting of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO).
Prior
to the meeting, PTT General Manager Kenan Bozgeyik presented Hisarcıklıoğlu
with stamps printed in his name.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
said in his speech here that the whole world has changed and said: “For
example, the cars we know are changing. Fossil fuel-driven car production is
ending. Everything in the new world is now electric. Trading is changing. Brick-and-mortar
shops are ending. Even if we don't see it, this is how the next generation is
doing things. Where? Online. That’s were stores are opening. This is world
trade. What's the advantage of this? The advantage is that if we sell any goods
in Ankara, we can reach Ankara or its surroundings. Online, you could be
selling goods to some village in Australia or Peru, both at the same
time."
Hisarcıklıoğlu
said that PTT, with a great visionary approach, provides the opportunity to
open a shop and delivery of the product to an address. Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked
PTT for their pioneering work in opening the horizon of Turkish merchants and
industrialists.
Congratulating
the Ankara Chamber of Commerce President and the management for their work to announce
this visionary approach to a wider audience, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Ankara is
Turkey's second-largest city in the trade. The Chamber of Commerce is now open
to all Ankara merchants with its 130,000 members. This board, headed by President
Gürsel, presents us with a platform where all the problems can be solved. I
also thank them.”
Stating
that there are always state officials or historically significant people on
stamps, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that it is the first time he has received a postage
stamp in his name and thanked PTT General Manager Bozgeyik.
