The Union Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We believe this turbulent period to be temporary. The foundations of Turkey are strong; We’ve overcome several crises like this in the last 25 years, we’ve overcome them all and we will continue to do so.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
told reporters at the press meeting held before the “Real Sector and Financial
Sector Dialogue Strengthening Meeting" held in a hotel in the city that
they will talk discuss problems and forward their proposals directly to the
bankers.
Stating
that it is important for bankers to come down into the field in order to listen
to the problems of the real sector, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “With these meetings,
the real and financial sector will understand each other better and develop
common solutions.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
said: “Both sectors need to be strengthened. We have forwarded our suggestions
to the government and to do so. It is of vital importance that access to
finances are kept open to the real sector and SMEs. This is also vital for the
Turkish economy. Recently, we observe the positive developments in our economy,
but the economy is not at the point we want, and we have many suggestions from
our chambers and exchanges, some of which have started to come into effect.
This gave us vitality for the markets, after which the Short Run Allowance
became active, and then the taxpayers of the SSI received a 60-month
postponement and maturity, which allowed us to breathe. We believe that this
turbulent period is temporary. Turkey's foundations are solid; we've been
through similar things many times in the last 25 years, we have overcome them
all and we continued on our way.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated that the real sector and the finance sector are working hand in hand, “This
is a first in our history. We are looking into what we can do. In this context,
we are all dedicated to Turkey. We are inseparable. The finance sector exists
with us and we exist with the finance sector. We will not be stuck on this bump
in the road, we will overcome it.”
- “We will all contribute to the
growth of the country”
Turkey
Banks Union (TBB) Chairman Hüseyin Aydın said ,”We will discuss what we are
doing and what we can do better. We will engage in introspective
self-criticism. I hope we will contributed to the growth of the country together.
There can’t be growth without us and we can’t exist without you. We're all on
the same boat.”
