The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with council members at the Chambers/Exchange Councilor Briefing Seminar. Hisarcıklıoğlu urged council members to inform their members about the endeavors of TOBB and chambers/exchanges.
Stating
that they are undergoing a difficult period, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that
they’ve met with 365 chamber/exchange presidents throughout the regions.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the requests and problems of the Chambers and
Commodity Exchanges at these meetings were conveyed to all the ministers,
especially President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Stating they met together with the
Turkey Banks Union to solve their problems with the banks and held consultation
meetings in 14 provinces Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the bankers have taken to
the field first time to listen to the problems of the real sector first hand.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
informed the members of the council about work undertaken in regards to the
demands of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges such as the short-time work
allowance, maturity of the SSI premium debts, minimum wage support for employers,
liquidation and transfer contracts, technical insolvency problem, commercial
receivables insurance, supports in the field of licensed warehousing, VAT for
the domestic market and SCT reductions, problems related to foreign exchange
contracts, export closures, rent of commercial vehicles, restructuring of SME
and agricultural loans, reduction of housing loan interest rates and SME Value
Loan issues.
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu also provided information on undergoing works
pertaining to employment, financing, tax, legislation and support.
Stressing
the importance of unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that after the
chamber / commodity exchange elections, all council members should unite around
the president and the board of directors, and even if they thought differently;
they should adopt the decisions of the council as their own.
