The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with councilors at the Chambers / Exchanges Councilor Briefing Seminar.
Stating
that they decided to organize Council Members Information Seminars after the
2013 chamber / commodity exchange elections, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that a 4.8
out of 5 satisfaction rate has been achieved in regards to the seminars.
Stating
that they are going through a difficult period as a Turkish business world,
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they had landed on the field as TOBB, and that they
had gathered together with the head of the chamber and 365 rooms / exchange.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the requests and problems of the Chambers and
Commodity Exchanges gathered in these meetings were conveyed to all the
ministers as well as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In order to solve their
problems with the banks, they’ve met with the Turkey Banks Union in 15
provinces so far, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that bankers are listening to the real
sector's problems firsthand for the first time.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
informed the members of the council about the actions taken in regards to
demands of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges: Short-time work allowance,
maturity of the SSI premium debts, minimum wage support to the employer,
liquidation and transfer contracts, technical insolvency problem, commercial
receivables insurance, supports in the field of licensed warehousing, VAT for
the domestic market and SCT reductions, problems related to foreign exchange
contracts, export closures, rent of commercial vehicles, restructuring of SME
and agricultural loans, reduction of housing loan interest rates and SME Value
Loan issues.

President Hisarcıklıoğlu also provided information on employment, financing,
tax, legislation and support.
Stressing
unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that after the chamber / exchange
elections, all members of the council should unite around the president and the
board of directors, and even if they thought differently, they should adopt the
decisions of the council as their own.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
asked members of council to explain the work of TOBB and the chambers /
exchanges to their members.
