We have to increase our trade and bilateral cooperation in tourism with Malaysia

The President of TOBB M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu and the Malaysian Ambassador Dato 'Anuar Saipul Center met for lunch at the TOBB headquarters.

As the presentation about TOBB, DEİK, TEPAV and TOBB ETÜ was made before the lunch, and the guest ambassador Mr. Anaur agreed to increase the relations between two countries. Mr.Hisarcıklıoğlu told that they are expecting Malaysia, who is memeber of the the Islamic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), to work more  in an active way and that there is a need to work together on the tourism issue. M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu pointed out that the number of tourists coming to Turkey this year is about 30 million. But in this ratio the ratio of the tourists coming from Malaysia is quite less. We need to know each other and increase our trade. Telling there is a high rate of participation from Malaysia, to the CACCI Conference, which will begin in Istanbul on 6 March; M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu said that they are ready to organize a Business Forum between two countries. , M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu also mentioned, if it is appropriate to the program, to organize this forum in the Ankara-Istanbul, being one-legged or two legged,
 

 

Mr. Anaur:
 

 

The Ambassador Dato 'Anuar Saıpul, during the meeting, stated his belief in working together on tourism and gave information about the Union of Chambers of Malaysia. The Ambassador:"Our system is a bit different from Turkey’s system. Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce consists of the three chambers”.  He stated that he agree with Mr. Hisarciklioglu on the incensement of the bilateral trade.  Undersecretary of the Embassy Mr. Nuryante Yazid presented in the meeting.
