The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Sectoral Economy Summit convened.
Minister of Finance and Treasury Minister Berat Albayrak, Minister of Trade
Ruhsar Pekcan, Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk, Minister of Culture
and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services
Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, Minister
of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli and deputies of various ministries
participated in the Summit hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity
Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Twin
Towers.
61 sector council representatives took the floor and presented sector
problems and solution proposals. Close to a thousand businesspeople attended
the Summit.
Speaking at the opening of the Summit, TOBB President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “These works will impart a very important impetus to the
cooperation between public and private sectors.” Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out
that in the last period there have been very important steps taken to reduce
employment costs and mobilize the markets. He reminded that there have been
positive developments in exchange rates and interest rates in the last 2-3
months. The TOBB President explained that the executive and reformist working
styles of the Ministers will be effective in obtaining results.
