The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, attended the Chamber / Exchange Councilor Briefing Seminar and met with council members.
At
the beginning of his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu condemning the heinous attack on
Muslims who were attending Friday prayers at a mosque in New Zealand and expressed
his views in regards to the anniversary of the March 18th Çanakkale
Victory, “I most respectfully express my gratitude to those who laid down their
lives so that our flag may forever fly across these lands and the sound of the
call to prayer persist; may the blessings of Allah be upon them.”

President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the council members briefing seminars were
held in the past, and that as nearly half of all council members were newly
elected, they saw the need for holding them again. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that following
the problems in the economy, they convened with the presidents of 365 chambers and
exchanges and noted the needs and expectations of the regions and relayed them to
the government.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
informed the council members about the actions taken with regards to demands of
the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges such as the short-time working allowance,
maturity of SSI premium debts, minimum wage support to employers, liquidation
and transfer contracts, technical insolvency problem, commercial receivable
insurance, support in the field of licensed warehousing, removal of the pasture
fund, VAT and SCT reductions for domestic market, problems with foreign
exchange contracts, export closures, commercial vehicle leasing, restructuring
of SME and agricultural debts, transformation of vocational education, VAT
rebates, opportunities provided by mobilization of employment, reduction of
mortgage loan interest rates and SME Value Loan issues.

President Hisarcıklıoğlu also provided information on work underway in regards
to employment, financing, tax, legislation and incentives.
