The Employment Mobilization Aydın Business Community Meeting was held with the participation of Family, Labor and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Aydın Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger at the Aydın Chamber of Commerce.
In
his speech at the meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that
Aydın is a city of the Efe and Zeybek who stood against injustice and cruelty;
who defended the nation and preserved its honor.
Recalling
Evliya Çelebi’s description of Aydın as 'Honey flows in its plains; oil from
its mountains,’ Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “He described Aydın very well. Indeed,
Aydın is an agricultural and tourism center. It holds the first place in Turkey
in the production of figs, chestnuts, olives, strawberries and cotton. Our Chamber,
has acquired geographical marker for the Aydın Fig, the world's most delicious
figs, and the Exchange has acquired geographical marker for the Aydın Chestnut.
The Aydın fig has also been registered in Europe. There are only 3 products in
our country that can make this boast: The Gaziantep baklava, Malatya apricot and
the Aydın fig.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated that all the chambers and exchanges in Aydın are 5-star services and
serve their members with quality on par with chambers in Paris, London and
Berlin.
Stating
that they’ve worked day and night with Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk upon the
President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s call for a new
employment mobilization at the TOBB Turkey Economy Summit, Hisarcıklıoğlu said,
“A new, comprehensive and bold stimulus package has been prepared. For those
who would are seeking create new employment, there is a wage support followed
by tax and premium reduction. Your new employee’s salary will be paid by the
state for 3 months. After that, insurance premiums are paid by the state for 9
months. Short-time work allowance was provided for those who suffered economic
hardship and slow down. The architect of all this is Mrs. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk,
the Minister of Family and Labor. I would like to express my thanks to the
President, the Minister and our government for their contributions to this
historic incentives package.
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they started the Employment Mobilization
in 25 cities in 81 provinces and 160 districts, with 365 Chambers and Commodity
Exchanges.
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
who provided information and support for promotional centers within the body of
the Chamber and Commodity Exchange in each province, said: “Thus, we promote
this campaign throughout the country and strive to ensure the widest participation.
We have called on all our businesses to participate in the campaign.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
explained that the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services had joint
meetings with local organizations, governors, district governors, accountants
and financial advisors, and holding one-on-one talks with the largest and most
employed firms in the provinces.
Emphasizing
that they talked about employment mobilization in local media and social media,
Hisarcıklıoğlu also said that they prepared a commercial film to be broadcast
at national level and that RTÜK would broadcast it on all television channels.
Calling
on the business world and employers in Aydın and neighboring provinces, the
TOBB President said: “Take advantage of these historical supports and join the Employment
Mobilization. Our goal is grand, but you know, what we say in our faith. Man
only gets what he works for, that's what's falling to us. Already, the initial indicators
give us hope. In employment, we started positive momentum. I hope more will come.
By
recruiting at least one unemployed citizen, you can benefit both sides, improve
your business. Contribute to the growth of the economy. Become a winner by investing
in the future of Turkey. We have never lost prosperity and hope in these lands.
We will not lose them now. To say hello to a prosperous and hopeful future, there
is business here, there is prosperity, there is a future here.”
