31.03.2019 Ankara
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, expressing his wish for the local election results to benefit our country, said, “Elections are done. We're entering a period of 4.5 years without elections. From now on, Turkey's economy should be the first item on the agenda. There are many steps to be taken in the economy; we have a lot to do. We should turn this period into a period of uninterrupted action.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated the following in his message:
“March
31st 2019 Local Administrations General Elections have been completed.
I hope the results bring good fortune to our country and our nation.
I
would like to thank everyone who came to the ballot and voted; who stood for the
future and democracy of our country. Except for some individual cases, the
country-wide elections were held in remarkable peace and with high
participation. This shows that our nation embraces democracy as well as strong
will of the administration.
The
elections are now over. We're entering a period of 4.5 years without elections.
From now on, Turkey's economy should be the first item on the agenda. There are
many steps to be taken in the economy; we have a lot to do. We should turn this
period into an uninterrupted period of action.
This
period, in which we can focus on the economy, and thus implement structural
reforms that will strengthen the foundations of the economy, is of great
importance for our country.
The
economic administration signaled this before the election. We expect rapid
action after the election. Regardless of our political opinion, it is time to
respect our nation's decision; 82 million hand in hand and heart to heart, walk
in unity and solidarity to our bright future.
The
task falls to each of us to raise Turkey in its region and in the global
economy.
As
the Turkish business community, we will work hand in hand, to produce, invest,
employ and export even more.”
