The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Councilor Briefing Seminar. Hisarcıklıoğlu made a presentation to the council members about the activities and recent works of TOBB.
Stating
that they are going through a difficult process as the Turkish business world,
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that they often come together for consultation and
convey the expectations of the members to the relevant authorities. Stating
that he has visited almost 40 provinces since August 2018, the TOBB President
mentioned that they’ve met with 365 chamber and commodity exchange president in
7 regions. Pointing out that the power of the Union of Chambers and Commodity
Exchanges comes from its base, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have a road map about
what to do with the demands from you. We visited President Erdoğan and
Ministers and presented our expectations together with solution proposals. We
also held council meetings. We've added their results to our files. Then, achieving
a first in our history, we brought together bank general managers and deputy
general managers with the real sector. We held regional meetings in 16
provinces. We brought together a total of 10,000 members. 97% of our members'
problems were solved during one-on-one meetings with bankers.”

In
his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the economy and the sectoral
organizations had the chance to explain the problems to President Recep Tayyip
Erdoğan and the economy ministers.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
reminded that the election period is over and that there is an election-free period
ahead of us for the next 4.5 years and that this period should be utilized well
in order to carry out structural reforms.
