In the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur Sultan, charter for the Turkish Council of Speaking Countries Cooperation Council (Turkic Council) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTCI) was signed.
Attending
the signing ceremony held in cooperation with the Kazakhstan National
Entrepreneurs Chamber of the Turkish Council of “Atameken” as a part of the
Astana Economic Forum, were Turkic Council Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, the
Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin and Kazakhstan National
Entrepreneurs Chamber “Atameken” President Ablay Myrzahmedov.
Turkey's
Ambassador to Nur Sultan, Nevzat Uyanık, Azerbaijan Ambassador Rashad Mamadov,
Kazakh-Turkish Businessmen Association (TÜKİB) President Fırat Develioğlu as
well as Kazakh and Turkish businessmen were present at the ceremony.
TTCI
charter was signed by Hisarcıklıoğlu, Myrzahmedov, Vice President of the
Kyrgyzstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nurlan Musuraliyev and President of
the Azerbaijan National Entrepreneurs Confederation Mamed Musayev.
In
his speech following the ceremony, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu recalled that
Nazarbayev gave the mandate to establish TTCI at the Turkish Council summit in
Antalya in 2006, “We were able to do this exactly 13 years later. We made
Nazarbayev’s dream a reality.”
Stating
that they want to see the chambers of commerce and industry in Uzbekistan and
Turkmenistan to join them as well, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I believe that thanks
to our contacts, these two sister organizations will join us.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
reporting that the TTCI Secretariat will be in Turkey, said, “We are committed
to providing all support in terms of staff and office as TOBB.”
Amreyev
stated that the document has been in preparation for a long time and that the
establishment of TTCI will open new doors for increasing of trade between the
members of the Turkic Council.
Musayev
said the TTCI would accelerate the strengthening of trade cooperation between
the countries of the Turkic world. Musuraliyev pointed out that TTCI will
provide the opportunity to expand mutual economic interaction.
Myrzahmedov
also suggested that the first meeting of the TTCI should be held in Turkistan.
