Carried out by Yıldız Technical University and Turkey Reputation Academy, this year's 8th Turkey Reputation Index Survey elected the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu as Turkey's Most Prestigious Business World Non-Governmental Organization Leader.
According
to a survey conducted under the academic supervision of Yıldız Technical
University (YTU) Department of Statistics via field work performed between December
15th, 2018 and January 30th, 2019, interviewing 12,000 people
with 60 questions, totaling over 120,000 minutes in phone calls, the TIE 2018
study gauged the reputation of the brands and institutions operating in 30 different
sectors in Turkey's economy.
In
a study of a sample of 26 regions and 72 provinces using the Computer Assisted
Telephone (CATI), the perceptions of the institutions and brands were
determined in the main sectors of the economy including energy, appliances,
GSM, construction, automobile, garment, food, medicine, transportation,
banking, electronics, tourism, insurance, education, machinery, furniture,
retail, soft drinks and the fuel industry.
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu, unable to attend the ceremony, stated in his message that
he is honored to receive this award and emphasized that he received this award
not only for himself but also for 365 chambers and exchanges in 81 provinces
and 160 districts.
In
his message, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Today, prestige is the most valuable asset
of everyone, not just companies. Because reputation brings trust. Trust is
perhaps the only common denominator that affects all human relationships. Trust
is very difficult to earn while losing it is infinitely easy.”
