The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Joint Meeting and opening ceremony of the M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu Meeting Hall at the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce.
Before
the meeting, the opening ceremony for the M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu Meeting Hall
was held at the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Service Building. Kayseri Governor
Şehmus Günaydın and Kayseri Metropolitan Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç also attended
the ceremony.
Speaking
at the meeting, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that is greatly honored in
having his name given to the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Conference Hall and
thanked the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce President Ömer Gülsoy, the Chamber
administration and Council, “You had also named the meeting hall in the
previous building my name, I would also like to express my gratitude and thanks
to Mr. Hasan Ali Kilci, our President of the Chamber at the time. I would also
like to thank you again for your magnanimity in the new building. I would also
like to thank Veli Altınkaya. Kayseri always shows commitment in this spirit.
May Allah bless you all.”
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that he has always been immensely proud of
being from Kayseri.
Speaking
about a survey conducted by the Yıldız Technical University and Turkey Reputation
Academy, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I have been elected as the most prestigious business
world leader of Turkey's civil society organizations. I received this award on
behalf of all of my Chambers in 81 provinces and 160 provinces. What we have
done, what we have accomplished, is a team effort. There is grace and blessing
in unity; anguish in dissent. As the saying goes, birds of a feather stick
together. I would like to congratulate our Chamber-Exchange Presidents, who are
the opinion leaders of their cities.”
Referring
to the unity and solidarity of Kayseri, the TOBB President said, “In fact,
Kayseri is an exemplary city; a role model for the whole country. We wrote a
success story with our own means. Kayseri has long been a city of commerce. We
have become one of the most important industrial cities in Turkey by the labor
of our own people. Not content to sit on our laurels, we came a city of tourism.
It has also become an education center and a city of universities. All this was
done with the efforts and endeavors of our own entrepreneurs, the philanthropists
of Kayseri. In this sense, we are singular in Turkey. We did not ask for
anything from the government. We came to this point through our own efforts.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
touching on the fact that Kayseri boasts of 3 companies in Turkey’s fastest
growing 100 companies announced in Samsun on May 19th, 2019, and 18
companies in Turkey's largest 500 industrial companies announced yesterday,
said, “I wholeheartedly congratulate all our companies who made us proud with their
success.”
“May
Allah accept our fasts,” said Hisarcıklıoğlu. “On this occasion, I would also like
to thank our security forces, soldiers and police for their service. I pray for
the grace of Allah upon our martyrs, and wish speedy recovery for our wounded veterans.
The entire Islamic world is now going through a difficult and troubled period.
But no matter how hard times are, the month of Ramadan means grace, blessings
and mercy. Great Allah has the power to turn all evil into good. May Allah
preserve our country and our nation from evil, oppression and darkness. May the
entire Islamic world attain peace, prosperity and brotherhood.”
