The annual meeting of the EUROCHAMBRES Affiliated and Correspondent Members Committee of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES), representing non-EU countries and chaired by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Vice President of EUROCHAMBRES, was held in Kiev.
At
the meeting, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine
Mykhailo Titarchuk, President of EUROCHAMBRES Christoph Leitl, President of the
Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadiy Chyzhykov also gave
speeches.
In
his speech, TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice President Hisarcıklıoğlu
emphasized that the uncertainties and challenges facing the European Union must
be solved with the power of unity.
EUROCHAMBRES
President Christoph Leitl said, “It is not ‘America first,’ or, ‘Great China,’
Together, we are Europe.” The meeting also saw discussion on the future
projects of EUROCHAMBRES for the Joint Members.
At
the meeting, pre-election was also held for the candidate countries to
represent the Affiliated and Correspondent Members on the EUROCHAMBRES Board of
Directors. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu will continue to represent the 19
non-EU members as EUROCHAMBRES Vice President in the EUROCHAMBRES Board of
Directors in 2020. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Ukraine and Georgia were
elected as members of the EUROCHAMBRES Board of Directors.

Affiliated and Correspondent Member Committee consists of Albania, Azerbaijan,
Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Georgia, Montenegro, Kosovo,
Macedonia, Moldova, Norway, Serbia, Ukraine, Turkey, Switzerland, Israel and Russia
along with AIC Forum and INSULEUR.
