TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that YÖREX has become Turkey's brand, “Our Antalya Commodity Exchange has developed this idea, making it a national brand.”
TOBB President
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that TOBB has always believed in and supported YÖREX,
which brings Anatolia together, and pointed out that YÖREX brought in 42
provinces in the first year and 72 provinces last year. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “In
YÖREX’s 10th year, all the provinces are expected to attend as well
as a record number of visitors. YÖREX is a great organization which brings
Anatolia's soul, identity, all its colors together. In an area of 10,000 square
meters, participants from every corner of Turkey stand side by side in unity, solidarity
and fraternity. I come here every year in my tour of Turkey. I have witnessed
personally how it has grown and developed.”
- “YÖREX gives us this opportunity”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said
that Anatolia, which has been home to dozens of civilizations with its 12,000-year
history, contains thousands of local products and added, “If we cannot promote
and market these values and bring them to the economy, they have no value.
Now people prefer local and natural products. They pay more for that. This is what
YÖREX offers us. It opens up new opportunities for our producer and
entrepreneurs.”
- “YÖREX protects our national values”
Emphasizing that YÖREX
is an organization that protects national values with the logic of ‘consume
what is ours,’ TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is our biggest
responsibility to teach our children our culture and handcrafted products. With
YÖREX, we protect our national values and support local development. We, together
with our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, attain the geographical markers of
local values and increase their added value and bring commercial value. We
also bring together manufacturers and retailers to help market and sell local
products throughout the country. Therefore, we expect all public institutions
to support this important organization.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that chambers and exchanges have invested greatly into YÖREX by embracing and
supporting its brand.
Pointing out that
women's labor is immense in local products, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are
increasingly seeing women entrepreneurs in YÖREX. Women are the most
responsible for this, leading local development. I take pride in our women
entrepreneurs.”
