Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Turkic Speaking States Business Forum held in Baku, Azerbaijan's capital, attended by six countries’ business people and gave a speech.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated that this formation was his dreams and said: “In 2005, Mr. Nazarbayev, a
respected elder of the Turkic World, told us to make it a reality at the
Leaders’ Summit in Antalya. We made some progress. Then 10 years ago, we met in
Nakhichevan. Now, for the first time in our history, representatives of six
different business worlds come together.”
Pointing
out that the rapidly developing economy of Azerbaijan offers attractive
business investment opportunities, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “According to the Doing
Business 2019 report implemented in 80 countries by the World Bank, Azerbaijan
has risen 32 ranks in the world and is ranked 25th in the ease of
doing business among190 countries.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated that they are proud of the progress made by Azerbaijan as the Turkic
world.
At
the end of the business forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between
TOBB and Azerbaijan Confederation of Employers regarding the establishment of the
Turkey - Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum.
