Representatives of the Turkish wing of the Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee visited Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairnan Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Taking part in the visit were the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), TESK, Hak-İş, Turkey Kamu-Sen, Memur-Sen, TİSK, Türk-İş, TZOB and Turkish Pensioners Association.

Kılıçdaroğlu’s reception took place closed to the press at the party headquarters. Vice Chairmen Veli Akbaba and Aykut Erdoğdu attended the reception which lasted 50 minutes.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who made a statement on behalf of the delegation after leaving the party headquarters following the reception, stated that the Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee had previously expressed their views in regards to Operation Peace Spring.

Hisarciklioglu stated that their organizations in 81 provinces, as well as their foreign representations in 190 countries have shared with their counterparts these views, and said, “Now we have had opportunity to convey our views to the leader of the main opposition party, Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu, especially in regards to Operation Peace Spring. We have spoken with them on this matter extensively.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they would visit the MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli to speak on this subject as well as conveying their well wishes for his recovery.”
