The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended a consultation meeting organized jointly by the Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Osmaniye Commodity Exchange. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the city is located at the crossroads connecting Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia to Çukurova, adding, “Osmaniye has the potential to be the trade base of the future because it is close to the port, the airport and the surrounding big cities.”
Pointing
out that the OIZ is already completely full, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Now we are
trying to make the OIZ bigger. Additionally, important steps are being taken to
make Osmaniye the logistics center of the region. The connection road
connecting Osmaniye OIZ to Erzin Port has been completed.
Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep High Speed Train line is a very important
investment for this place. Osmaniye deserves all these investments.”

Province Chamber-Commodity Exchange Consultative Meeting was held at Osmaniye
Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the participation of TOBB President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Devrim
Aksoy and Osmaniye Commodity Exchange President Sait Çenet and many chambers
from the surrounding provinces and districts.

President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Osmaniye is a city that
works tirelessly for Turkey's prosperity, “Look, Osmaniye was the second city
with the highest increase in national income production in Turkey in the last
10 years on a provincial basis. Turkey's exports have increased by 2% in the
last year. But Osmaniye increased its exports by 12 times, or 24%. Of turkey's
1000 largest industrial enterprises, there was none from Osmaniye 10 years ago.
Now there are five companies.”
Hisarciklıoğlu,
thanking Osmaniye Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce
and Commodity Exchange presidents, members of the board of directors and council
members, and all employees working for the development and development of the
Osmaniye economy, said, “Osmaniye CCI is an accredited chamber. So it offers a
5-star service to its member. Osmaniye makes 35% of the peanuts produced in
Turkey and 90% of the processed peanuts. Osmaniye CE is also registered peanuts
as a geographically marked product, and protected our local values. Now it's
the EU registration. My brother Devrim and I are working together at the TOBB
R&D and Innovation Board, and my brother Sait and I are working together on
the Board of Commodity Exchanges. They represent Osmaniye in Ankara in the best

Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Devrim Aksoy said in his speech that
investments in Osmaniye have gained momentum and exports have increased with
the Incentive Law. “However, the occupancy rate in our industrial zone has
skyrocketed. Therefore, it is imperative that the OSB be expanded. One of the
most important problems of our province, Syrian refugees are also looking for a
solution.”

Commodity Exchange President Sait Çenet also talked about the economic crisis,
said there is a need for effort to increase production. Underlining that
peanuts should be included in incentives as soon as possible, Çenet said that production
is accelerated by reducing inputs in agricultural products.
