The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Council Members Information Seminar. Hisarcıklıoğlu urged council members to not each other.
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
stating that the most democratic institution is TOBB, noted that council members
are elected not appointed, “Ours is the most difficult election. It's the
hardest thing to ask for votes from your opponent, whom you've been competing with
for four years.”
The
TOBB President, who stated that there is no money to be made in these stations,
said that they have sacrificed their jobs, their homes and their friends.
Emphasizing
unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I ask you not to alienate each
other. Do not alienate anyone because of their creed, political views, and
ethnicity. We have to accept differences. Grace and prosperity in unity;
anguish in dissent. When we're a little ahead, everyone goes their own way.
Stand for your unity and solidarity. How can that work? We'll consult, discuss,
and meet in common cause. This will be our consensus. Birds of a feather stick
together. You don't see birds migrating alone. If you want to reach the target,
you must act together.”
Stating
that, despite difficulties, Hisarcıklıoğlu said he is hopeful for the future
and said that traders and industrialists can never lose hope.
