The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, attended TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Information Seminar.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
began his speech by wishing Allah’s grace on soldiers who were martyred in
Idlib and healing to the wounded.
The
TOBB President, advising young entrepreneurs, asked them to get to know the
institution they are in better and to be role models for young people by
explaining their own achievements.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
explained that they founded the Women Entrepreneurs Council in 2007 and the
Young Entrepreneurs Council in 2009, and said that 8,000 young entrepreneurs
met under one roof.
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
who wants them to use the media to hear their work, said, "Use social
media. The written media used to be very important. It's out of effect. Make it
felt that there is Young Entrepreneur Council in your province and that there
is a group of successful entrepreneurs in the province. Make acquaintances with
the protocol of the province, the governor, the mayor, the deputies. Let them
know you. That's the only way to open up. Get advice from the presidents of the
chamber/commodity exchanges."
Noting
that the Young Entrepreneur Councils want a budget from TOBB, Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, "In fact, you have the budget in your hands. If the smart person has
a good dialogue with the chambers/exchanges in their province, they can get as
much budget as they want. The whole point is that you can get it on your own merit
from our chambers/exchanges. Second, every province wants to prosper.
Development agencies have to do this, and if you do projects in development
agencies, it's the job of our academic advisors to help you. You need to work
closely with our academic advisors in every province. Work closely with them so
you can do the project. Make a project, get money from development
agencies."
Hisarcıklıoğlu
said that the way to prosper is through entrepreneurship, and the solution of
unemployment depends on increasing the number of entrepreneurs.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
emphasized that it is their duty to encourage young people to engage in entrepreneurship,
and asked them to encourage university youth to be entrepreneurial, that their
greatest potential is in universities.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated that they can come together for bad days, but that they should stand together
on good days as well. Hisarcıklıoğlu urged them not to marginalize each other.
