The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the video conference with Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan with 365 chambers and commodity exchanges and 61 industry council presidents.
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they have constantly shared the demands and
problems of the chambers and exchanges with the relevant authorities, and
thanked Trade Minister Pekcan for her consultation-based management style and
executive vision since taking office.
This
week, noting that they commissioned the Breath Credit, Hisarcıklıoğlu, “TOBB, chambers
and exchanges have allocated all their resources for the use of our companies.
Currently, Breath Credits has the lowest interest to date, 7.5% per year.”
Regarding
the demands of sectors, Hisarcıklıoğlu also noted:
“Every
company that suffers from turnover loss should receive the right to force
majeure. The market will be relieved if the private sector is paid as soon as
possible, given the priority of the public sector's public receivables, the
health and medical sector. We should be given the opportunity to receive VAT.
Past tax and SSI premium debts must also be restructured after delays. Covid-19
needs to be excluded from the scope of the work accident."

Minister Ruhsar Pekcan, noting that in the process of combating Covid-19the
importance of digitalization is once again understood, “Investments in the
field of digitalization and technology are just as important to Turkey and the
world as food. Our investments in food, health and digitalization will be the priorities
of the coming period.”
Pekcan
stated that Turkey has made successful progress in health care compared to
other countries, and said that all measures have been taken to help the country
leave the pandemic behind as soon as possible. Pekcan stated their aim forward dynamically
in trade with the business world; and will strive to pull ahead as country in economy,
trade and exports.
