The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Council Meeting organized via video conference.
As
TOBB, 81 provinces are in constant consultation with the Chambers and Exchanges
Hisarcıklıoğlu, “Through our Presidents, Chamber-Commodity Exchange every day,
we have collected your troubles, their problems. Then we spoke to the Ministers
one-on-one and made attempts to resolve them. In doing so, we worked with both
President Şekip and with President Öztürk, who is a colleague at TOBB, and
consulted on every issue.”
Stating
that to this end, we presented a set of 70 proposals in March to President
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the government, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “A significant
part of these have been brought to life. Tax and SSI payments in various
sectors have been postponed. The scope of the short work allowance has been
expanded and made to be processed faster. Various loan packages for our
companies have been implemented. Finally, we started the Breath Credits with
Denizbank. 7.5% interest, no payment in 2020, payment begins in 2021. We expect
the public banks to participate soon. At this point, I would like to emphasize
that this is especially important. Every day, a new issue, a new nuisance
arises. So it's a dynamic process. Therefore, we will be in contact with our
members without a break and continue to note your problems and proposals."
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
emphasizing that Istanbul Chamber of Commerce is working with this vision, continuing
to provide service to its members “You, the management, the council and the
professional committees, are working hard; keeping the pulse of our members, you
become interpreters for them. May Allah be pleased with you for all your work.”
