TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his Ramadan message, pointed out that we are faced with an unfamiliar situation in regards to the Coronavirus outbreak, “We will live the joy of Eid in our homes. For the health of all of us, we will make visits and hugs not physically this time, from afar but wholeheartedly. I believe that as soon as possible, we will return to our old days, our exuberant holidays.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
said in his message:
“Due
to the epidemic, as in all over the world, this process for the Islamic world
of Ramadan was quite bitter. But our hearts beat in unison. We felt the peace
of Ramadan inside us. I know that our holiday is different from the holidays
we've been through this year, but we have the same joy and enthusiasm. I wish for
an end to this pandemic in our country and around the world as soon as possible
and to return to our normal lives.
Holidays
are the best opportunity to glorify noble values that make people human such as
love, respect, peace, bonding and solidarity. Distances should not prevent us
from using this opportunity well.
On
behalf of the Turkish business community, I hope that the Holy Eid al-Fitr will
bring health, happiness and peace to our nation, to the Islamic world and to
all humanity.”
