The problems of Turkish industry and industrialists were discussed at the meeting attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology, via video conference.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, noting the
importance Minister Varank's puts on the industry, “His vision of taking our
country to the next league with national technology increases our enthusiasm in
this critical period. It allows us to look to the future with hope.”
Recalling that they are working with
Minister Varank in Turkey's Automobile Initiative, which has become Turkey's
prestige project, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Although our country faced many
difficulties, the support provided by our Minister was very important and
valuable in the main point of this project.”
With the measures taken by the government
under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Hisarcıklıoğlu said
that they expect this turbulent process to fall behind, "Of course, here,
we, the private sector, have a task and responsibility. We must maintain our
production and employment capacity. We need to focus on opportunities, not
risks. We must continue to move forward cautiously but decisively without losing
morale.”
