The Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Chambers of Commerce and Industry was held via video conference, chaired by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said at the opening of the meeting that it
had been about 5 months since the last council meeting on April 13, during
which time they continued to work together with Chamber/Exchanges and Sector Councils
as TOBB.
“You,
chamber-exchange presidents, magnified the voice of our members, you became an
interpreter of their troubles,” Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Allah bless you all, your
efforts and hard work. As you know, thanks to all your work, we presented a 70-point
set of proposals to our President in March. A lot of them have come to life,
and they continue to pass. Here's the latest, the VAT rate in the education
sector has been reduced. The period of benefit from the short work allowance has
been extended to 31 October.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
said that there are many other topics they are following up on and gave brief
information about them.
