The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Mediterranean Region meeting held via video conference and held consultations with the heads of regional chambers/exchanges.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, noting that since the beginning
of the epidemic, the chamber-commodity exchange presidents have been interpreters
for the problems of their members, said, "Thanks to all these efforts, in
March, we presented the 70-item proposal set to our President. Most of them
have come to life, and they continue to pass. The latest, the VAT rate in the
education sector has been lowered. The period of benefit from the short work
allowance has been extended to 31 October. A new county-based restructuring has
been initiated in the Investment Incentive system. Of course, there are many
other issues we're following. Other than that, now, we're going to put
everything you're going to convey on our agenda. We will continue to follow up
with the relevant Ministeries.”
