The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Marmara Region meeting held via video conference and held consultations with the heads of the regional Chamber/Commodity Exchange.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, noting that they have been working together with
chambers, exchanges and sector councils since the beginning of the epidemic,
said, “Chamber-Commodity Exchange presidents have made the voices of our
members heard; they have acted as interpreters for their problems. Allah bless
you all and your efforts.”
Reminding that thanks to the work accomplished, the 70-item proposal
set in March was presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, “A large part of them have come to life, and continue to do so. Here's
the latest, the VAT rate in the education sector has been lowered. The period
of benefit from the short work allowance has been extended to 31 October.
Investment Incentive system, a new county-based restructuring has been
initiated.”
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu noted, in addition to these, there are
many issues such as the introduction of maturity opportunities for tax-SSI
payments, payment of outstanding receivables in the public sector, The
implementation of short work allowances continues until the end of 2020, YEKDEM
costs reduction, GEKAP-related burdens reduction, postponement of the
application to 2021, ensuring that COVID-19 is not included in work accidents,
changing the substances against insurance agencies in the relevant regulation,
putting an end to applications that disrupt public-sourced competition in the
market, the high prices of inputs used in agricultural production.
Hisarcıklıoğlu then listened to the views of the Regional Chamber and
Commodity Exchange Presidents.
