The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Aegean Region Meeting held via video conference and held consultations with the heads of the regional Chambers/Commodity Exchanges.
Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that they have been working
together with chambers, exchanges and sector councils since the beginning of
the pandemic and said, “Chamber-Commodity Exchange presidents have been the
voice and interpreters of our members and their problems. Allah grace you all
and your efforts.”
Stating that thanks to the work done, regarding
the 70-item proposal presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in March,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “A large portion of them have entered into effect and continues
to be implemented. Here's the latest, the VAT rate in the education sector has
been lowered. The period of benefit from the short work allowance has been
extended to 31 October. In the Investment Incentive system, a new county-based
restructuring was initiated.”
