The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Lütfi Elvan, who was appointed Minister of Treasury and Finance, and wished him success.

“I congratulate Mr. Lütfi Elvan, deputy of
Mersin and Chairman of the Plan Budget Commission, who was appointed Minister
of Treasury and Finance with the authorization of our President Recep Tayyip
Erdoğan, and wish him success in his new post. I hope he will bring good will
to our country and our nation.
Mr. Lütfi Elvan is an experienced
statesman who has taken on many important duties at the state levels,
especially the State Planning Organization (DPT), and has served successfully
in the Ministries of Prime Minister, Transport and Development.
I believe that with his knowledge and
experience, he will provide good services to our country and our nation as
Minister of Treasury and Finance. I wish him all the best in this new mission.
At a time when the global economy is going
through a very difficult period and the uncertainties of the Covid-19 pandemic
and the new era after the US elections continue, we will continue to work very
closely with all relevant institutions as the Turkish private sector. We will
continue to advance our goal of becoming a stronger economy with consultation,
common cause and coordination.
I would like to thank Mr. Berat Albayrak,
who asked to be excused from his post, for his work in this difficult time.”
