The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they give great importance to the digitization of SMEs and small enterprises.
e-Commerce offers huge advantages for companies and consumers,
especially as the Covid-19 pandemic measures have seen high increases in
shopping volumes, increasing in importance and use in the global economy.
TOBB, which gives trainings to SMEs on many projects, has launched an “e-Commerce
e-Guide” training program so that businesses in the new world order can work digitally
in addition to traditional marketing and sales methods.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, responding to AA correspondent, noted that the list of
the world's largest companies in the last 20 years has experienced a serious
structural change, energy and financial giants were replaced by technology
companies.
Noting the developments in the Covid-19 pandemic process in particular,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “While the volume of e-Commerce is increasing every day in
Turkey as well as in the world, this has become even more apparent during the
pandemic. Due to the measures taken against the pandemic, traditional shopping
could not be done or limited during the periods when tradesmen, SMEs and the
leading brands of our country continued their sales through e-commerce.”
- “E-commerce is the
only address for opening up to new markets”
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that they give great importance to the
digitization of SMEs and small enterprises, and made the following assessment:
“The future is in digitalization and e-commerce. At TOBB, we continue to
produce projects for our SMEs and entrepreneurs. We are launching the
'e-Commerce e-Guide' training program in order to guide our SMEs to use
e-commerce applications and to provide information about these trading tools.
The only address for opening up to new markets with the 'e-Commerce e-Guide'
training program is that e-commerce applications will be explained to our SMEs in
every aspect from the first step.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they will allow SMEs to meet with expert
practitioners in the field thanks to 5 weeks of training, and said that they
will give e-certificates to the participants at the end of the training.
- The intricacies of
e-Commerce will be discussed
Within the scope of the “e-Commerce e-Guide” training program to be
carried out online, general information about e-commerce applications will be
provided by Message Management System Co. Inc. “e-Commerce Trust Stamp”
applications will then be discussed by TOBB's experts.
Information about product sales will be shared on the e-PTTAVM platform,
which markets geo-marked products.
Technical issues such as personal data protection regulations,
installation of e-commerce sites, payment and logistics integrations, inventory
management, advertising models will be discussed.
Examples of e-Export models, prohibited product groups, after-sales
processes, integration of the system with logistics, cargo, storage processes
and costs will be relayed. In addition, information will be given about market
expansion, logistics and customs processes, tax law, e-citizenship in
e-exports.
