The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu participated in the 19th Consultation Council, held via videoconference chaired by Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen
Confederation (TESK) President Bendevi Palandöken, Turkish Exporters Council
(TIM) President İsmail Gülle, Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK)
Chairman Nail Olpak, Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association
(MÜSİAD) President Abdurrahman Kaan, International Investors Association
(YASED) President Ayşem Sargın, Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) President
Mithat Yenigün attended the meeting.
Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan said in her
speech, “We are following the Brexit process closely, minute by minute, in
order to enact our free trade agreement with the United Kingdom. Our goal is to
sign the agreement as soon as possible.”
Pekcan said at the meeting that they are
holding the last meeting of the Advisory Board in 2020 and expressed their
desire to hold these meetings with the same frequency and much better results
in the future.
Pekcan expressed her thanks to the heads of
participating NGOs their contributions and said, “In addition to contributing
to the coordination between your organizations and our Ministry, I see that your
organizations encourage synergy and cooperation between each other, and I am
pleased. This synergy is very important for our country's unity and achieving
its goals.”
