The 'Framework Cooperation Protocol' on intellectual and industrial property rights was signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority (TÜRKPATENT).
With
the protocol signed by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TÜRKPATENT
President Prof. Dr. Habip Asan, it is aimed to raise awareness about industrial
property rights of companies operating in Turkey and to increase the level of
knowledge about the intellectual and industrial property rights of the business
world through activities for chambers/exchanges, sector, women and young
entrepreneur councils and academic advisors operating within TOBB.
Within
the scope of the cooperation developed, industrial property needs of the
enterprises that are members of TOBB will be determined and customer-oriented
and on-site service will be provided to the industrialists. In addition, the
corporate capacities of TOBB's chambers and exchanges for the registration of
geographically marked products will be strengthened.
With
the activities to be organized in partnership with the Turkish Patent and
Trademark Regents Council operating within TOBB, the level of awareness of the
intellectual and industrial property rights of the business world will be
increased, and activities aimed at the development of the sector will be
carried out by strengthening the communication between registered patent and
trademark representatives.
Within
the scope of the protocol, TOBB and TÜRKPATENT will carry out joint projects
and activities aimed at developing cooperation between the university and
industry and among companies of different sizes.
