The problem of the inability to collect on cheques, which was conveyed by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu as a request of the Turkish business world, was solved with a of the Ministry of Commerce communique.
“We demand that this problem be solved urgently
on behalf of our entire business world,” he said.
Hisarcıklıoğlu noted the payment problems
related to the cheques in a statement on his Twitter account, “There are
complaints that otherwise honored cheques to the cheques arrangement cannot be
collected. The failure to pay the cheques is locking up the whole system. We
demand that this problem be solved urgently on behalf of our entire business
world." It was announced by the Ministry of Commerce that the collection
of cheque clearing transactions and honored cheques within the scope of the communique
has resumed.
