M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), issued a celebratory message for the Insurance Week, which is held between May 31st and June 4th.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
in his message:
“With the effects of the
pandemic and climate change, which has increased its impact in recent years,
insurance protection is needed more. Agricultural insurances for sustainable
agriculture and food safety, commercial risk insurances for our industrial
facilities and SMEs, financial insurances for our receivables and bails, and
most importantly, private and complementary health insurances have become our
basic needs for the assurance of our health.
We need to focus our
energy on growing and improving our business by lending insurance to secure our
increased risks. In the process of rapid growth in our post-pandemic economy,
the importance of insurance increases even more.
Our country's insurance
sector is in a position to protect all kinds of risks at the present point.
With the establishment of Turkish Reinsurance Inc., the establishment of a
Special Risks Management Center and the strong financial structures of our
insurance companies, we will be able to access insurance coverage more easily
in all areas we need.
The agencies and
appraisers organized under the umbrella of our Union make important
contributions to the healthy development of the insurance sector in Turkey.
Insurance appraisers have a large share in determining the risks of insurance
agencies in the spread and availability of insurance and ensuring justice
between insurance companies and insurers in the event of a damage. As the Union
of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, we provide all kinds of support
in order to ensure that members of both professions can look to the future more
confidently, maintain minimum standards and professional discipline so that
they contribute more to the sector.
With these feelings and
thoughts, I celebrate the insurance week of the whole business world and all
employees working in the sector, especially the insurance agents and insurance
appraisers organized by TOBB, with our best wishes for healthier days.”
