The regular meeting of the Turkey-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum 2021, established by TOBB and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, took place online on September 15th, 2021.
Turkey's Ambassador to
Islamabad İ. Mustafa Yurdakul and Pakistan's Deputy Ambassador to Ankara Arshad
Jan Pathan attended the meeting, which was hosted by Co-Chairs Prof. Dr. Ömer
Bolat and Amjad Rafi.
Speaking at the opening
of the meeting, President the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of
Turkey (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the historical and
humanitarian dimension of Turkey-Pakistan relations and expressed the
importance of assessing the potential in economic and trade relations.
Hisarcıklıoğlu also
stressed the importance given by TOBB to the work of the Turkey-Pakistan
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum.
Also attending the
meeting was Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, President of the Federation of Pakistan
Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting also
presented investment opportunities in Turkey and Pakistan and cooperation in
the field of tourism.
Members of the Pakistan
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum expressed their issues with trade and
investment opportunities between Turkey and Pakistan.
The meeting also discussed
the upcoming events of the Turkey-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Forum.
The Turkey-Pakistan
Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum was established in 2018 by the Union of
Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Federation of
Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan (FPCCI). the President and its
members of the Turkish side of the Chamber is appointed by TOBB, while the
Pakistani side is appointed by the FPCCI. Annual economic summits, joint board
meetings, business forums, business meetings and efforts to improve
Turkey-Pakistan business relations are the main areas of work of the
Turkey-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum.
