06.11.2021 Kayseri
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said at the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Memorial Forest Tree Planting Ceremony, “I am honored to have come together with you on this auspicious occasion. With belief that this world is entrusted to us by Allah, we must also make every effort to protect the environment.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that caring for trees, green and the environment is the most important virtue
for humanity and said that the city will gain a new forest with the initiative
of Kayseri Chamber of Commerce.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that it makes sense that this forest will be formed with saplings to be planted
in the name of each member, which is a sign of how unity and solidarity will
bring grace.
Recalling the great
people's bard, Aşık Veysel, saying, “Indeed, for us, the land is beyond a place
on which we live our lives. It is a loyal friend. This world is the common wealth
of all of us. It's a common place for all living things. The Turkish nation has
always been in harmony with nature throughout history. We, who believe that
every living thing praises Allah in its own way, and members of such a
civilization, should not be expected to behave in any other way. To destroy
nature in a vicious way, to damage the tree and the earth for no reason, is to
betray the trust of Allah. Without land, we will have no place to live in this
world, and when we pass on to the other world, we will have no place to sleep.
Therefore, we have to give the land the value it deserves.”
Congratulating the
President of Kayseri Chamber of Commerce Ömer Gülsoy, the Board of Directors,
council members and all its members, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that thanks to them,
he was proud to bring the saplings to the land in this festive atmosphere.
- Kayseri TO President Ömer Gülsoy
Kayseri Chamber of
Commerce President Ömer Gülsoy said that in line with the joint request of 41
professional committees, they will create a memorial forest here on behalf of
22,808 members with the slogan “A sapling for each of our members”.
Gülsoy stated that they
aim to bring a total of 70,000 saplings to nature, including 25,000 in the
first phase, consisting of many species such as mother of pearl, juniper,
mahaleb, acacia and almonds, in this land allocated to their chambers by the
Forestry Regional Directorate.
After the speeches,
those in the protocol and members of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce planted
saplings.
