The 3rd General Assembly of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established to support the development of bilateral trade and investment relations between Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan and Hungary, was held at the Wyndham Grand Levent Hotel in Istanbul.
At the General Assembly
hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and
Turkic CCI President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Hisarcıklıoğlu and Turkic Council
Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, Azerbaijani Confederation of Owners (ASK)
President Mammad Musayev, 1st Deputy Nariman Abilshaikov of the
National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ATAMEKEN), Dr
Adham Ikramov, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan,
and Roman Kasymov, 1st Senior Vice President of the Chamber of
Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic were also present.
TOBB and Turkic CCI
President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that a strong private sector is
needed for development and enrichment, and a strong chamber exchange system is
needed for the strong private sector. Hisarcıklıoğlu underlined that they are
ready to share their experiences in this field.
“Developments in the
world show that having natural resources is definitely not enough for the
wealth of our people. We should diversify and develop our economic structure,”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, stressing that it is essential to develop
entrepreneurship.
