The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu opened the Sivas Commodity Exchange Food Products and Agricultural Products Analysis Laboratory, where grain, meat and dairy products and honey analysis can be performed.
Hisarcıklıoğlu also
visited the Sivas Commodity Exchange and met with the council members. The
President of TOBB is here to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the
Sivas Commodity Exchange. On the anniversary of its founding, it presented its
awards to those who add value to agriculture.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that Sivas Commodity Exchange has been working for the development of
agriculture and livestock in Sivas for nearly 30 years. Moreover, it serves as
an accredited exchange to a member of Sivas Commodity Exchange. It serves 5
stars. Now this new analysis laboratory will add a different value to Sivas.
Here, many crops, from agriculture to animal husbandry, will be analyzed. In
this way, Sivas products will find customers much easier and will be in greater
demand with their quality and the assurance of our commodity exchange.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said
that the authorized classifier service provided only by Sivas Commodity
Exchange in the region also allows licensed warehouses to develop and grow.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, who
explained that he witnessed Sivas's efforts to promote the products in person,
said, “Here was the last time 2 months ago, at Yörex, the largest regional
products fair in our country in Antalya, Sivas' regional products received
great attention. Our Sivas chamber and commodity exchange advertised the
world-famous Sivas Kangal dog, Sivas sausage, meatballs, bacon, katmer, salt,
honey and pickles very well.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that bacon is a value that integrates the cities of Sivas and Kayseri, and
explained that most of the bacon masters in Kayseri also grew up in Sivas.
