M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), participated in the “Traditional Registration Record Holders Award Ceremony” and iftar program hosted by Kayseri Commodity Exchange (KTB).
Hisarcıklıoğlu explained
that the commodity exchange has brought beneficial works to the city and has
signed many important projects to improve the agricultural sector and increase
its service capacity.
Stating that KTB is
trying to establish the most modern livestock exchange and market place in
Central Anatolia, Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “Innovative works are being carried out
with the hydroponic agriculture project. KTB aims to establish the most
comprehensive trading exchange campus in our country in order to serve you better.
As an accredited exchange, it already offers five-star service to its members.
These are all visions. I hope that both our producer and our merchants and
industrialists will achieve more fruitful gains with these efforts.”
KTB President Recep
Bağlamış also informed about the work of the commodity exchange. Noting that
recent developments in the world have also affected producers engaged in
agriculture and livestock in the country, Bağlamış said, “I believe that the
sector should be further supported and encouraged, especially with affirmative
action for our producers in agriculture and livestock. The process we are in
clearly shows us that food supply security and being a self-sufficient country
has become a vital issue.”
Kayseri Metropolitan
Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç also gave a speech.
After the speeches,
Hisarciklıoğlu, Büyükkılıç and Bağlamış presented awards and plaques to the
