M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), stated that motherhood is the purest, hallowed feeling in the world in a message issued for Mother's Day and said, “They deserve the greatest of love, respect and honor.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his message:

“No emotion on earth can overshadow feelings of motherhood. Nothing can compare to a mother's unconditional love, sacrifice and responsibility towards her children.

It is undoubtedly a fact that societies that do not give their women and mothers their due value are doomed to perish.

We have a culture that believes heaven is under the feet of mothers.

On behalf of the Turkish business community, we celebrate all our mothers, salute them with respect, and commemorate our mothers, whom we have sent off to eternity, with gratitude.”
