Evaluating the growth figures, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are working for production and investment despite the increase in costs and supply problems, and said, “We must focus on additional measures and inflation for comprehensive, sustainable growth.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, on his Twitter account, evaluated the growth figures for the first quarter of the year announced today by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Reminding that the Turkish economy grew by 7.3 percent in the January-March period, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

“Despite the increase in costs and supply problems, we are working hard for production and investment. We must focus on additional measures and inflation for comprehensive, sustainable growth. It's time to work harder with unity of effort and purpose.”
