The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Muş business world for consultation.
At the meeting hosted
by Muş Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Erdal Koç, Hisarcıklıoğlu
listened to the problems and solution proposals and exchanged views with the
representatives of the regional business world.
In his speech here,
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Muş is very important for Turkey, especially in
agriculture and animal husbandry, and mentioned that the most strategic sector
in the world today is agriculture and animal husbandry. Hisarcıklıoğlu said,
“There’s nothing like the Muş Plain in Turkey. You are among the provinces with
the most pasture area in Turkey. There are 3.5 million acres of pasture and
800,000 acres of meadow. Pastures are completely natural and you produce milk,
meat, fat and cheese in their most natural form. But we cannot fully appreciate
this blessing. In Muş, we need to develop both agriculture and the industry
dependent on agriculture and animal husbandry. Because agriculture is the most
strategic sector, because it is the source of life.”
Pointing out that we have
a young and dynamic population in Muş, the TOBB President said that it is
necessary to attract labor-intensive sectors to this region. Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated that Erdal Koç, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
is also making efforts for this, “He is also my colleague in Ankara. We work
together in TOBB's economic policy commission. President Erdal has also started
an important work with vision to make Muş CCI accredited.”
Muş Chamber of Commerce
and Industry President Erdal Koç gave information about the activities of the
Chamber and touched on the effects of the pandemic on the trade of the city. He
said that Muş will achieve significant successes in the coming years,
especially in the field of textile and agriculture.
