The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met in Bitlis with the business world for consultation.
At the meeting hosted
by Bitlis Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Davut Tezcan,
Hisarcıklıoğlu listened to the problems and solution proposals and exchanged
views with the representatives of the regional business world.
Stating that they came
to Bitlis to consult and listen to the views of the business world of the
region, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Our main goal here is to listen to you. As you
know, during the pandemic, we' were able to acquire much support for our
members. President Davut has been an interpreter for your grievances and those
of our members. He brought us all your troubles and demands. As TOBB, we
discussed these and conveyed them to the relevant ministers. And we've had
results from a lot of them. But of course our troubles are not over.
There's more work to be
done. That's what we're here for today. What is the situation in the market,
what are the problems, what should be done, tell us here, and we will take it
to the relevant places.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said
that they conveyed the increase in input costs, the problems in accessing
credit, high energy prices, fertilizer and feed in agriculture to the relevant
Ministers and said: “Apart from these, we will now take what you have to say on
our agenda. We will continue to follow up and work to finalize it. Remember,
this is our mission. In the meantime, we built a primary school and a sports
hall in Bitlis, and now, at the request of our President Davut, we are also
bringing a school to Bitlis. We started construction, but there was a delay due
to the pandemic, but hopefully we will finish it quickly and open it together.”
