- Hisarcıklıoğlu: “We
will grow our economy with the support and power of women”
TOBB President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, who made a statement about the competition, stated that there
is no job that women cannot accomplish when given the opportunity; that women
should take a more active role in social life and business life, and that
Türkiye will become stronger as the weight of women in economy and business
life increases.
Emphasizing that TOBB
Women Entrepreneurs Council has become Türkiye's largest entrepreneurial
women's network, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It has become a brand in the
chamber/commodity exchange community in Türkiye and around the world. Our main
goal in this structure is for successful women to be role models for young
people coming up. Women should aspire to be entrepreneurs and never be afraid
of not succeeding. Look, there are hundreds of examples. They all saw
difficulties but never gave up. Today, they have come to the best positions with
their courage and original projects.
At this point, our TOBB
Women Entrepreneurs Board (KGK), in cooperation with the Economic Policy
Research Foundation of Türkiye (TEPAV), has created a great project and
launched Türkiye's Entrepreneurial Women Power Competition.
I attach great
importance to this path taken in order to increase the visibility of women
entrepreneurship in Türkiye, to encourage their effectiveness by integrating
them into national/international networks and to support their personal
development and help them advance their careers. From here, I call on all our
companies to further increase women's employment and all our women to boldly
take their place in the business world and to grow their place. Never forget,
your successes are not only yours, but also the success of our country.”
- Nurten Öztürk: “I
invite you to apply to Türkiye's Entrepreneurial Women Power competition”
TOBB Women
Entrepreneurs Council President Nurten Öztürk pointed out that the development
of countries is possible with the full reflection of women's labor on the
economy and said, “I believe that women should be more effective in the
business world in order to have a strong economy and a developed social
structure. With the participation of women in more employment, becoming
entrepreneurs and participating in the economy, that is, with the empowerment
and development of women, the level of modernity of societies increases.”
Emphasizing that
'courage' is another source of motivation as important as the need for
financing for women entrepreneurs, Öztürk said that they have launched
Türkiye's Entrepreneurial Women Power competition in cooperation with TEPAV in
order to increase the visibility of women's entrepreneurship in Türkiye, to
ensure that they are a source of inspiration and to help them advance their
careers by supporting their personal development.
Nurten Öztürk invited
entrepreneurial women who attach importance to women's employment and develop
themselves in the fields of economy, environment, technology and exports to
apply to the “Entrepreneurial Women Power of Türkiye” competition to share
their success stories.
