The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the consultation meeting held at the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce and listened to the problems of the members.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said
that they were in Azerbaijan during the weekend and organized a Business Forum
with 200 businessmen in the city of Shusha. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they went
to Baku to receive the state decoration awarded them by President Ilham Aliyev
and that they returned to their homeland by receiving this valuable award on
behalf of the communities.
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
pointing out that the dream of producing a national car, left unfinished for 60
years, will become a reality in a month, said, “We are opening our TOGG factory
on October 29. As of March 2023, we will see our car on the roads of Kocaeli.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that they worked with 365 chamber / commodity exchange presidents during the
pandemic period and provided many supports for the business world, “In this
period, we have conveyed nearly 220 problems from you. 97 percent of them were
solved. As the business world, we have been the country that survived the
pandemic with the least damage. This is thanks to my chamber and commodity
exchange presidents. They did a great job.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
emphasized that their duty is to make their members' voices heard.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that there is grace and prosperity together, and underlined that no one should
alienate anyone else.
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
emphasizing that their differences are their riches, stated that when trouble
befalls the country, the nation reveals its unity and solidarity.
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed
out that the people of Kocaeli experienced this unity and solidarity during the
17 August 1999 Marmara Earthquake, and said that he witnessed a 75-year-old
grandfather and his wife bringing relief materials from İzmir to this place.
“If we are one and
together, no one in the world can bring us down,” Hisarcıklıoğlu said, adding,
“I say this as your brother who witnessed this personally. Whoever stands
together wins,” he said.
