Aegean Region Chamber of Industry Chairman Ender Yorgancılar and Assembly Speaker İbrahim Gökçüoğlu visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office with their delegation.
At the reception, TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu wished success for new term efforts and conveyed his
good wishes.
Ender Yorgancılar made
the following remarks in his statement after the visit: “First of all, 3 years
are over. This is our 4th year. I wish the whole business world a
beneficial, accident-free 4 years. What is important here is that when we look
at the whole world conjuncture, there is a continuation of the
Russian-Ukrainian war and a relaxation in the demands arising from the energy
crisis effects of this war in the EU. One of the biggest problems in our
country is inflation. Let's say that we are at the beginning of a process where
we can see the inflation process with these high interest rates, or rather the
policy rate, but the banks do not implement it, it is our greatest wish that we
are at the beginning of a process that we can see ahead in such an environment.
Today we visited our
Rifat President. Mr. Rifat is not only the President of the Union of Chambers
and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, but also our elder with a vision that sets
an example for the entire Turkish business world. When we look at what they
have done, the position TOBB has reached is obvious. We see that TOBB has made
great progress compared to other institutions where it is represented all over
the world. Most recently, as our President said, he brought this to the
forefront and realized this by leading the way in domestic vehicle production.
I think it is the pride of Türkiye. As you already know in Law No. 5174, it
must be finished by the end of November. All chambers have also elected TOBB
delegates, they are electing them. When the General Assembly of TOBB is held in
May, the election process will be completed. I hope that our Rifat President
will be our president again.”
