TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated June 7, World Exhibitions Day. Stating that exhibitions plays a vital role in the growth of the economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “As the world's oldest economic interaction activity, exhibitions continue to be the heart of trade.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said in
his statement:
“The exhibition
industry, which is the heart of global trade and the most important driving
force of production and exports, is actually the oldest economic and social
interaction activity in the world. Since 2016, one day of June each year has
been celebrated as “Exhibitions Day” by UFI Global Association of the
Exhibition Industry.
I also agree with the
message of the UFI Global Association of the Exhibition Industry for 2023 that Exhibitions
serve as a meeting point and marketplace for everyone.
Türkiye's exhibition
sector is the meeting point of sectors and the economy with more than 400 Exhibitions,
nearly 30 million visitors and more than 60,000 exhibitors annually.
The exhibition sector
plays a vital role in the growth of industry and trade volume.
With these thoughts in
mind, I sincerely celebrate the World Exhibition Day of our exhibition
organizers, exhibition center operators, exhibition suppliers and all
stakeholders in this ecosystem who work for the development of the exhibition
industry in Türkiye.”
